BOOK BUYBACK

The University Bookstore provides an opportunity for students to sell back used and unwanted coursebooks. Here is how it works:

TOP VALUE: DURING FINALS WEEKS
If your current edition textbooks are in good condition, have been ordered by the faculty for the upcoming Quarter, and are needed for stock by the Bookstore, we pay up to 60% of your purchase price for the book. These books stay on campus and enable other students to save money.
MARKET VALUE: YEAR ROUND
Books of current edition NOT requested by the faculty for the upcoming Quarter or needed for stock by the Bookstore can be sold at current market price, which will vary from 10% to 30% of the list price. These books leave campus. The agent buying them will ship the books to warehouses and take a chance they will be needed by other schools. The Bookstore has this agent here as a service to buy those books we are unable to purchase for our campus’ use.
PERSONAL VALUE ONLY
Some books have little or no value on the resale market and are better kept for your personal library. Books have significant educational value beyond their resale potential. We encourage students to sell their books only if they are certain they will nave no need of them as a resource in the future.
